The Warforged Wiz 18 / Rog 2 build is one of the most efficient and fun solo builds for DDO. Combining the toughness and survivability of the Warforged, with the DPS of the Wizard and the utility skills of the The Shieldbearer tree will be a mitigation tree that will focus on heavy armor and shield. This will also offer ways to counter enemies with active mitigation such as stuns, knock downs, and the like. These trees would be available to Fighter, Paladin and perhaps even a new class that supported heavy armor and martial abilities. Rain sound mp3 1 hour
Comment by alessandrouw This info is a little bit outdated, I think Blizzard hotfixed the way you obtain Nethershard.I see people complaining they are getting very few Nethershard, and most of these people are just flying during the event.
I've got a Human Pure Paladin with a 182 AC, 269 PRR, and 159 MRR. He's S&B with the Purple Dragon Tower Shield but he's not a Vanguard type. He's always in Sacred Defender stance (1320 HPs) and Legendary Dreadnaught for his Epic Destiny. Strength and Charisma are the most important stats for paladins. Strength affects melee attack chance and damage, and high charisma makes many of a paladin's special abilities more powerful. A moderate level of wisdom is also needed for a paladin to cast spells. Notable abilities: Smite Evil, Lay on Hands.

The year saw large improvements for Bard, Paladin and Barbarian, as well as a few improvements for Ranger and Rogue. We added a new Bard tree with Swashbuckler, and the new Vanguard tree is now available to Fighter and Paladin. I’ve deliberately stayed away from Tactics in this build. Paladins do have huge amounts of strength to power tactics, but then they run out of steam – no enhancements or feats to really support taking tactics. Unless they are a Vanguard build, but this isn’t a Vanguard build 🙂 My ‘Want’ list is basically:
